I'm frequent traveler and my first choice is Hilton. "Unfortunately" I was staying mostly in Copenhagen, where the service is so high, that probably there is no other hotel to match the perfect quality there. I knew that it wouldn't be the same in Helsinki. I stayed once at the end of December 2011 and even that there is NO business lounge I decided to stay there as the area around is just great and close to the office where I'm going. The rooms are pretty good, except of the awful TV and the tv signal itself.
Tomorrow is my last day for this month in Helsinki, but I already know that I will not stay at Kalastajatorppa hotel again.
The breakfast used to be cool, but Hey Travelers - be aware, since today 17.01 the pancakes are at cost of 12 eur (outrageous). You might want to remind a few times the housekeeping to bring a new bottle of water every day. I hope that you're not going on business there, as the internet in the evening is almost not working at all, probably very low bandwith.. :(
However if you go for sightseeing, the area is really good and calm, the rooms are spacious enough, there is very good connection to the public transport and you're in 15mins in the city center with tram which runs very often.
Depending what kind of traveler you are, you might really like this Hilton or you might be really disappointed
