We stayed for a few nights around New Years. We had a room on the top floor (this was a slightly more expensive option when booking), the room was the furthest from the lift and was absolutely quiet and peaceful despite the hotel seeming pretty busy. The room was average size, nicely decorated in blacks and whites, good lighting and a large comfortable bed. Bathroom was also stylish with fantastic shower but without bathtub (perhaps this is normal in Finland hotels?). Free wifi was a bonus.
Staff were all very helpful and professional although housekeeping did miss our room on one of the days (which is why I knocked off one star). The breakfast buffet was fine, mostly cold foods/continental style but the eating area was a little cramped on some busy mornings. It is probably nicer in the summer when you can sit in the courtyard.
The location is good for walking around Helsinki, although the city is very compact so this isn't as big as issue as it would be in London, for example. There is a supermarket close by as well as tram stops.
All in all, a very good choice with one or two minor flaws - would recommend.
