“Great Fabian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I have been to most of the best hotels in Helsinki, I would definitely go back to this one! The location is not bad, just 200m from the Esplanade. The room was designer style with Finnish modern influence. The bed and the shower amazing, the breakfast was of unbelievable quality. The only shortcoming of teh hotel is that the breakfast area is small and next to the reception/lobby. The price was excellent for what we got, €150 per night

Room Tip: Get a stype plus room, its amazing!

“Stylish and well positioned, yet affordable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

My wife and I stayed for three nights in January 2012. Very comfortable, quiet and furnished with taste. It is very close to the city centre and the design district (Helsinki is a small city anyhow). Excellent breakfast, served in a sort of "open kitchen" in the main lobby. Overall a very satisfactory experience.

“OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

The staff are friendly and helpful. Good location, 5 min by foot to the centre. The rooms had modern look, with very comfortable bed, big flat TV, modern shower, minibar, safe, air condition and free wifi in the room. There was a wonderful choice for breakfast. There is no parking for cars.

“Stylish option in Helsinki”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed for a few nights around New Years. We had a room on the top floor (this was a slightly more expensive option when booking), the room was the furthest from the lift and was absolutely quiet and peaceful despite the hotel seeming pretty busy. The room was average size, nicely decorated in blacks and whites, good lighting and a large comfortable bed. Bathroom was also stylish with fantastic shower but without bathtub (perhaps this is normal in Finland hotels?). Free wifi was a bonus.
Staff were all very helpful and professional although housekeeping did miss our room on one of the days (which is why I knocked off one star). The breakfast buffet was fine, mostly cold foods/continental style but the eating area was a little cramped on some busy mornings. It is probably nicer in the summer when you can sit in the courtyard.
The location is good for walking around Helsinki, although the city is very compact so this isn't as big as issue as it would be in London, for example. There is a supermarket close by as well as tram stops.
All in all, a very good choice with one or two minor flaws - would recommend.

“Helsinki chic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

This hotel is really first class with wonderful friendly and helpful staff. We had stayed at another hotel in Helsinki for 3 nights prior jetting off to Estonia for a few days returning to Fabian for 2 nights. No problem askingFabian to store one of our large suitcases and upon check in a couple of days later it was already in our room. Great service!
Had a style room on the top floor. It was spacious with chic bathroom and windows that opened to let in fresh air.Loved the step ladders next to the bed. We enjoyed the breakfast annex and found the selection sufficient. Walking distance to shops, harbour and restaurants.
Great hotel which I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Style rooms very nice and spacious
