Locates on to the top of the slopes, you can go skiing (downhill or cross-country) right from the main door. Spacious, clean rooms with sauna. Great views everywhere.

Hotel has a hidden gem: the restaurant is fantastic, i recommend 5 course surprise menu! It was superb! No wonder why food professionals and chefs vote every year retsaurant to be one the best restaurants in whole Finland ( in year 2009 it was 22. best of all restaurants).

If you want to have a cityholiday, then the hotel isn't the right choice. City center is about 3 km away. But even then pop by and have great dinner and look the views!

amazing location into the wood, beatiful panorama around, just out of the hotel you can found ski lifts, staff is always very kind and available, breakfast is very good but the dinner restaurant is not so good, it has french nouvelle cousine which do not fit with the weather conditions! you need to eat something strong thana little piece of salmon or a decorating plate!!!also the bar is not weel provided so if you jumpthe dinner time you cannot eat anything!!!a part of food, it worth to go there is a really wonderful place!!

Stayed at this hotel for a week in December 2009. The hotel is located about 3km out of town, up a hill. There is an off road/traffic free pedestrian/bike route all the way from the town to the hotel- takes about 40-50 minutes. It cost about €10-14 for a taxi to town/bus station.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly- had an small problem in the first room I was in and they moved me immediately with no fuss. The rooms were clean and a decent size. And given the fact it was freezing outside, the hotel was nice and warm. Rooms were quiet although corridor noise was clearly audible in the hotel rooms- especially noticeable when groups of kids turned up on Santa Claus holidays! There were also some renovations being carried out by the hotel.

Breakfast was of good quality - a buffet style breakfast, and during the business/conference the lunches and dinners provided were fantastic- I'm vegetarian and the hotel went out of their way to provide lovely food.

Some lovely short walks available near to the hotel- the views were stunning on the days the sun came out.

Not only the hotel has exquisite decor and the 'feel of the Arctic', but the name, too. One may say, "What is there in a name". But, I believe, the name has lot to do with an image. In this particular instance, the name is akin to Sanskrit. I like to repeat it quietly. The food was excellent. As a matter of fact me and my group were encouraged to try the local cuisine, Reendeer meet with local red wine. I am not a food and drinks connoisseur but I would still say, the taste has lingered. As the hotel is away from the town, one needs transportation arrangement to stay here.
