Stayed in City hotel las december. Great location in the middle of city center. Easy to reach with airport bus that stops right in fromt of the door. Lobby is smal with a small souvenir corner and coffe bar and often very busy and noisy with lots of people. Often had to wait to be served. However the service is polite. Rooms small but beds are good. Bathroom also small. TV had good choices of channels. Free internet that was functioning well. During the night often noise from outside square were there are always late drinking parties. This can be irritating if you stay on the street side. Breakfast was excellent and included. Hotels in Rovaniemie in high season are expensive so was the City hotel however we enjoyed our stay and Lapland.

We travelled in a family of 3 hence the rooms were a tad tiny for us. With a foldable bed added, we barely have enough room to walk, let alone open them. All the rooms are of the same size apparently. We arrived in the afternoon but the staff were in the midst of cleaning the room. One the second day, we returned to our room at about 2pm and the beds were still not made up yet. Sauna room was small and they have separate timings for male and female hence you can't have a family suana together. Location is superb and only few steps away from convenience stores, shops and restaurants.

The hotel is good, but at the same price there would be nicer hotel (i.e. Scandic). The building is quite old, the breakfast room little dark. The staff is just ok. Location is wonderful, just few meter from Lordi's Square, which is the very city centre. Weekly market is just 100 meters from the hotel. Rooms are nice, well kept. During low season just one out of two saunas is working, so women and men have different time to do it. Breakfast is good and plenty of foods at early morning, but after 30-40 minutes it could take a little time to find the most "wanted" foods.

Just spent a night in this hotel (spent more over the years, though).

The situation of this hotel is excellent: in the very heart of Rovaniemi. Everything at a walking distance.

The beds are excellent. I sometimes wake up with a terrible ache in my back, but never in this hotel.

Breakfast is perfect. There's something for everyone, and there's plenty of it!

The staff is extremely helpful. We had a problem with our lightning and the lady in the reception came to our room to solve it. On the day we were leaving we were allowed to keep our room for extra two hours with no cost, due to our meeting that was supposed to end by two p.m.
