Although the building in which this hotel is located looks a little run down, do not be disappointed. The hotel takes up two floors of the building and is a perfect place to stay. Walking distance from a very busy shopping and nightlife area and to all the trams that will take you where you want to go.
Very clean, a wonderful filling breakfast that will give you a great start to your day.
We are a family of four-when we got our room we realzed the shower drain was plugged. They immediately put us in a nicer room with a beatiful view of the harbor.
Would stay here again.

The hotel takes some of the floors of a building, with the reception on the 4th floor.The entrance is not very comfortable: a few steps before the lift can be problem for old people travelling with large luggages.
My room was very large, but the furniture was quite cheap and old. A colleague of mine had a junior suite, which was provided with better furniture and better view on the harbour. In any case both the rooms were missing the mini-bar.
The breakfast was not very rich but all the basic things were present. Personnel at the reception was very kind and helped us providing indications and maps.
To conclude, the the worst aspect was the price, which was exaggeratedly high, probably because there were a couple of summits in the city. To be taken into consideration only at a very reduced price.

This hotel looks pretty dull from the outside but the interiors are modernized. Its located not far from the Gothenburg Casino and the Gothenburg Opera House. Its a bit off compared to city and bars restaurants shops etc. Its however fully possible to walk to downtown. The reception are is on the 4th floor and the hotel has rooms on floor 4,5 and 6. There is a large breakfastroom with a nice view over the harbour. Coffee and tea is offered for free there around the clock. Our room was on top floor 6. It was large and had a funny smaller part with two chairs separate from the main room with the bed. We suspect this was due to that the former terrace or balcony had been taken away and instead had the room been enlarged at some stage. Fabrics and colours were light and scandinavian. There was a flatscreen television, a DVD player, safety deposit box and a minibar with softdrinks. Wifi internet is free of charge in all rooms. Bed was excellent. The bathroom was enormous but not at all refurbished and pretty filthy and in bad shape. The hotel is told to have some refurbished rooms but this was probably not one of those. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety of choices. Bacon, sausages scrambled eggs for example. Yoghurt different kind of cereals and muesli. Bread cheese and ofcourse coffee and tea. The breakfastroom was in a modern design and had a nice view over the harbour. As many hotels in Sweden its pretty dirty all over and room could be much better cleaned.

I stay in this hotel for 2 nights and frankly would not use it again.

The good points first::
(a) It is a reasonable price
(b) It has a modern interior and is kept very clean
(c) The staff are friendly and very helpful

Now the not so good points:

(a) The hotel rooms at night are extremel noisy due to the air circulation system noise coming from the bathroom. On the second night Iasked if the hotel could change my room. I was told that all rooms had this background noise and a change of room would make no difference. They in fact offered me a pair of ear plugs to ensure that I managed to sleep. This must be first for any hotel!
(b) There is no real bar area you just order a beer and sit close to the reception area. And there is no restaurant other than the breakfast room. The chinese restaurant next door was described by the hotel as very basic.
(c) The breakfast was OK but Ih ave had better choices at other Best Western Hotels.

On my return to Gothenburg will chose a different hotel completely.
