We (2 adults and two toddlers) stayed at the Scandic Hallandia last week of May. The hotel is recently renovated (not all of the rooms). The location is excellent, right in the middle of the town.

We dined at the restaurant, an overall nice experience. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The kids got their food quickly.

We had some problems with our room since there were two beds and a pull-out sofa for one. If we had known that we would have requested an additional crib.
Also there was some problem with the heating which made the room very hot. We couldn't open the window since our room was facing the street. We pointed this out to the front desk twice and they were aware of it but we didn't get a discount or anything.

An additonal plus for free wireless internet.

The breakfust buffet is really great, lots of organic food since Scandic is a "green" chain of hotels.

HOTEL:
Well located, convenient parking and friendly staff.

ROOM:
To reach the room I had to go through a hallway, down a set of stairs and then through another very long hallway. Not very convenient, but still acceptable.

RESTAURANT:
Nothing special, but ok.

OVERALL:
Ok for business, but wouldn't recommend it as a leisure hotel.
