Used this property as a touring base for the Halland area of Sweden. Large room with river view, small terrace and comfortable seating area of leather sofa and armchair. Large well equipped bathroom with a spa bath. Flat screen TV mostly Swedish local channels but a couple of international news ones too.
Breakfast selection good, well presented and wide choice. All service friendly and helpful.
Quality of dinner menu excellent and with an attentive Maitre D' but their restaurant lacks any ambiance as a dinner venue. Unfortunately, the restaurant is no more than a nightclub dance floor with tables and chairs on it in the week. Next door is the excellent Restaurang Gustaf Bratt which really does have some ambiance and style.
Previous correspondents have highlighted how pleasant Falkenberg is as a destination in its own right - I second that. A lovely little town with good shopping, a preserved old town and pleasant river walks and views.
Hotel parking is free but limited - you may have to use on-street parking outside at a small fee.
My only problem was the supposed free wi-fi. Yes there is a hotel wi-fi hub. Weak signal, weird network settings, painfully slow - absolutely unusable. I bought a one-week Telia HomeRun deal for 100SEK which gave me very fast service, strong signal and no problems.
In the week the clientele consists of the usual Scandiavian business travellers and coach tours. Be under no illusions - the property is a major weekend nightclub spot and absolute party central. In the week it is beautifully quiet.
We had a really pleasant chilled time and I would recommend it
