The hotel is very dated but it pretty clean. The bathrooms need to be renovated. The service is fine.
It is a fine hotel for a night or 2 but not for a romatic holiday.

The Scandic in Borås is an okay experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not so knowledgeable. Rooms are clean but have not been renovated since the hotel was build, which must be some 20 years ago.

We had booked a room high up in the hotel and and far away from the elevator and guess what we got: first floor next to the elevator!!! When we complained we were offered a room with a grand lit (140 cm) for two... In the room we had to search for an the duvets and pillows and the staff had to bring us the amount of towels you are supposed to get for two people. All of this with a smile on their face.

I said we wouldn't stay here again but the Grand was full so not much choice

We got a superior room which was v large and had an extra toilet and sitting area with lounge chairs and dining table
Room had a fridge

Room was all ready with the extra bed and crib for the children
Staff were helpful
Breakfast was a wide ranging buffet
We ate in the restaurant one evening so the adjacent playroom was very handy (also used this at breakfast). Restaurant is closed on Sundays
Buffet option was v good value but we had the a la carte

The wifi is still free
The parking is still extra
Still no tea and coffee in the rooms but I remembered the kettle
No room service
There is a hot tub and gym upstairs but we didn't use it

Stayed in room 420 for 4 nights during April on a business trip.... taking family with me.

This was a premium room, with good sized bathroom, 2 toilets, separate lounge and bedroom areas.

Scala hotel restaurant okay, but the restaurant at the Best Western a couple of blocks away is better for an evening meal. Breakfast was excellent. Parking (at extra cost) beneath hotel, and very small jacuzzi thing and sauna on top floor.

Would stay again.
