As a norwegian I got a price over what was on the net. The hotel is situated by the train station. Trains do make noice. Between the station and the hotel there is a main road and there is a buss park in front of the station also. If you don't need to sleep I guess it's all right. I need the sleep and will never come back.

The hotel was in the hart of Karlstad,about 5 minutes walking to shopping,to a quiet park,railwaystation nearby.

The hotel is right across from the railway station and next to a shopping mall. My room was comfy, clean and quite spacious. The hotel in general has a nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.
I found the hotel very good value for the money as there was a free dinner buffet with everything from waffles to pickled herring and chocolate cake
There was a kettle in my room as well as a small library with books in Swedish and Norwegian. That was a nice touch. Free wifi available as well.
I loved that there was plenty of breakfast items available really early in the morning as I had to catch a train at 6 am. .

This hotel is very good value for the money since a very good dinner buffet is included in the price of the room. The hotel is close to the railway station and its only a short walk to the city with shops and restaurants. The hotel offers a bar with a nice atmosphere that also seemed to be well frequented by locals. Rooms are standard size with a flat screen television. There is an electric water boiler in the room so you can make your own coffee or tea. The bathroom had a shower no bathtub. Breakfast was plentiful as a buffet and also served in the room with the glass roof connected to the bar as was the dinner. Wifi internet was available in all rooms for free.
