We stayed one night during our visit to Uppsala. The hotel is not far the centre (20 minutes walk). The rooms are average but they offer very cheap rates during the week end compared to hotels in the centre. Breakfast was also OK.

We needed a Friday night stay before driving north from Stockholm. Uppsala was convenient - and we regard the Scandic name as a reasonable measure of quality. Stockholm Airport took over 1 hour to find our luggage: Hertz took almost an hour to find a rental car (they gave ours to someone else then crashed their computer system). Check in was incredibly quick and welcoming - the room was comfortable -(but rather tiny for a Scandic). It lacked air-conditioning - but the reception desk had fans available (if one knew to ask). Breakfast was good - and included gluten-free breads.

We stayed here for three nights, when attending a conference in Uppsala. We appreciated the free parking and our comparatively spaceful room. We also spent some time in the hotel gym. The breakfast was quite OK, even though the breakfast room was quite crowded with many guests. The hotel was quiet nightime, even though many guests stayed here. We can recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to spend some time in Uppsala. It might be an advantage to come by car, since the central parts of Uppsala are a few km away.

Looked nice from the website, but...

Good points:
1. shop open for 24hrs in reception (but very expensive)
2. comfy bed
3. decent TV
4. free wi-fi
5. fizzy water on tap in the corridor
6. great breakfast - loads of choice, great juice, bread selection was fab

Bad points:
1. my wet-room shower flooded when I was in it, must have been blocked. Had to stop half way through in case water escaped into my bedroom area!
2. very cold room
3. noisy - rooms are not sound proofed, so got woken up several times by neighbouring room
4. very expensive drinks + snacks in the bar

Bottom line:
Very average, but very expensive.
