“Nice place and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

We booked this place because it is very convenient to the central train station. The is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, utensils, cutlery, kettle,a portable thermal stove that is only meant for boiling, no frying allowed. The whole hostel is underground except for the reception and 1 or 2 rooms on the first floor. There is a few more showers at the back. So far we do not need to wait for toilet or shower as the place was not full. Toilets were clean. The lady at the reception was really great and tour us through the place and facilities.

Our room was really tiny and we cant go into the room together. We have to go in 1 by 1. The room that we were in was near the staircase and common room and it was really noisy because the walls were not sound proof. Lucky that we stayed for only 2 nights.

The athlen city mall just down the street has a supermarket Hemkop so you can get some groceries easily. The place is convenient for its location. WIll stay again if back but will pick a dorm instead as it has curtains for each bed.

Room Tip: If you book a twin room, ask for the room away from the staircase

“Good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

Good location (few minutes walk from T-Centralen station and about ten from Gamla Stan). Good kitchen facilities - fridge, microvawe, dishes, kettle. A common place in big dorm a bit too little, but comfortable if you want to socialize or read (there are some guidebooks there). One shower and two toilets in 18-person dorm is not sufficient sometimes, better wake up early. 18 dorm is windowless, but there's no problem with fresh air (at least in September). Not so bad price, as for Scandinavian conditions... Free internet (3 computers).

Room Tip: For more privacy, select lower bed (these are bunker beds) - has curtains.

“Great central location. Has everything you need. Nice buffet breakfast.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2010

We stayed one night here as it was close to the train station. Dorm was quite cramped but ok. A little stuffy at times, but slept fine. Mixed dorm has curtains on the beds for added privacy (nice touch). Bathrooms were kept clean, never had to wait for a shower. Buffet breakfast was good quality. Staff very helpful. Free internet (which seems fairly standard in Sweden).

-guest kitchen (no cooker though only a microwave)
-free computers/wifi
Cons:
-yes, all the room are on the bottom floor of the building with no window
-some people find it very hot but it was ok with me
-only two toilet/showers for the whole hostel

“Quiet hostel, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2010

I stayed at this hostel one night. I chose it because it right by the train and bus stations. My room was clean and the people working were nice. The showers and bathrooms were also well kept. As others have mentioned, the rooms don't have windows, but this didn't bother me since I was only there for one night. Sheets and towels cost extra.
