I stayed in this hotel again after a stay several years ago. The renovations are now complete-there was no evidence of construction or carpentry work. The halls and rooms were spotless-certainly up to the standards of other hotels in this class. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the room rate I had and was quite good, consisting of both hot and cold items and excellent fresh bread. I did notice that the excellent smoked salmon which I had enjoyed in the past was not on the breakfast buffet, probably a reflection of the increasing price of this delicacy. The rooms were good size. The twin beds in my room were small but very comfortable.

The location of the hotel is good if you are visiting the nearby Karolinska Institute, although construction at the Institute makes walking there a bit difficult. There are other hotels closer to the center of town and most of the attractions; however Stockholm has an excellent public transportation system so this should not pose a difficulty for many travelers

I did find one shortcoming of the hotel. The windows were somewhat thin for this insulation-obesessed city and there was a fair amount of traffic noise in my room despite being in a high floor. You may want to request a room off of the street if you are sensitive to street noise. There was also some noise from people conversing in other rooms although this did not last long.

Overall, this is a good place to stay and I will return if the price is right.

I really don't understand all the horrible reviews. The location is what it is -- it is close to karolinska, grocery store and the bus to the airport -- could not have been easier for that. Subway is 2 blocks away. It is not right down town -- nor do they say they are.
I just stayed there for 3 nights. Room was clean, modern and not that small. The bathrooms are very small but good. Housekeeping great. Beds awesome. Breakfast was really good with lots of variety. I just don't think people research hotels before they go to them. I would stay here again. If I wanted to be more central I would not.

We got a room in a floor which was completely under repairs, so you can smell paint, meet carpenters every time you go out of the room and listen to the noise of repairs for a certain part of your day. But after you pass all the "newly painted" signs and reach your room...
Well, the room needs repairs as well, because it was simply worn, but everything was functioning.

I was a bit disappointed that if you hang a "no-disturb" sign till 1 pm and later on hand a sign "room service, please", room service would not come until the next day.

Reception staff was rather friendly and always available.

Breakfast buffe is not something astonishing, but rather tasty and I felt that I had enough of choice.

I stayed one night for a business trip and was not convinced. Upon arrival they gave me a free upgrade to a double room. They said it was a little bigger than a single room. Knowing this I feel sorry for single room users. Rooms are very small, mine did not have a very good view at all, looking over some roof. To prepare for next day after having had diner I needed to work online. It appeared that the wifi was down for maintenance?! I have never heard of a wifi needing maintenance, especially not during evening hours when business people try to work. Breakfast provides quite a large choice, although none of it actually appealed to me,...
Location for city trip is not too bad, but there are (better) places closer to the centre.
