I found this on destination stockholm, I dont think it is there any more.

It had everything I needed , The problem I had was that there was no night staff and it was not very clear what was the way to get in.

Breakfast was AMAZING for the price.

And they had a laundry service which I never fully understood but i believe it was free.

Just 2 mins walk from the train to the city 2 stops from the globe.. The downside was that the area it is in is literly suburb. I found it difficult to get food out of normal hours.

I stayed 2 nights at Maudes with my mum back in April when we went to see Tina Turner at The Globe.
All the hotels in Stockholm centre were extremely expensive and I found Maudes just by chance. It was really good value for money compared to central Stockholm and we saved approx 200GBP /2000:- and the train only cost 200:- (15pounds)for the 2 of us as a hop on, hop off which was perfect for us to be able to explore. The hotel service was fantastic-the girls really couldn't do enough for you and were very friendly, lovely buffet breakfast, tea and coffee was free all day long even at 11pm when we got in from the concert we were able to have a cuppa! The room was lovely, contemporary decor and spacious and most of all it was absolutely spotless!
The train station is directly opposite the hotel and the Globe (Globen) was only 2 stops away and the old town (Gamla stan) was 4 or 5 stops away-it took 2 minutes and 10 minutes anyway! Going to stay here again in December with my girlfriends. Well recommended if you want to save a bit of money but still want the joys of Stockholm nearby!!

We stayed in Maude`s hotel for two nights and were very impressed!!!
It is only 15 minutes by underground from the city center (Central Station / airport connection) and very easy to find. Located, basically across from the underground station (Svedmyra) in a nice and quiet suburban area.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been recently renovated, modern and are really nice and clean (wooden floors and heated floor in the bathroom).
Breakfast is included in the room rate and weather permitting can be consumed on a really lovely terrace.
In the afternoon cookies, tea and coffee are waiting for you.
The hotel is excellent value for money and perfect for a visit in Stockholm.

I selected this hotel thru Destination Stockholm a la carte which supposedly offer discounts on hotels and I was having trouble finding a hotel for Monday night of my trip.
Maude's Hotel appeared and upon reading the description it seemed appealing. It is a Swedish Style homely hotel, 3 Star, contemporary in decor. New and cosy, staff were friendly, buffet breakfast was average. It cost €137 for 1 night including the Stockholm card for 24 hours but Mondays all museums with the exception of Museum of History are closed, most of the boat trips on offer have stopped for the season or only on offer on Sat/Sundays. So the only advantage to this card was free travel on trains/buses but an expensive night at an ordinary hotel in the suburbs, a 15 minute ride from Stockholm centre with no facilities nearby, no restaurants, shops or cafes. In comparison I stayed at a luxury 4 star the next 2 nights in Saltsjobaden for €103 a night. Better deals out there.
