I agree with all the positive reviews. The photos of the rooms on their webside are exactly what they look like. Simply, but tastefully decorated . Good Swedish style breakfast, coffee, tea, cocoa, fresh fruits and cookies free in the nice lounge at all times and also a small selection of beers and wine to drink if you feel like it. All in all,this place and its staff have a way of making you feel welcome, warm and comfy. And this is coming from the heart, I just loved those pure wool throws folded on the beds. Of course they have little 'lumps' typical of wool fabric but so warm and cuddly and so much better than those synthetic materials, at least for me...
I suppose I should try hard and find something not so nice, just for balance. Well, maybe just maybe, you could say that you hear a little bit of the T bana(subway) which is conveniently near ( and 15 minutes from the center) but then that is not running during the night of course, so, after walking all over beautiful Stockholm, your exhausted tourist sleep is very unlikely to be disturbed much!!!
We are definitely going back there in the Summer.

A small hotel with an individual feel, located a few km south of the city. Its just over the road from a train station direct into stockholm centre in 10-15mins, so transport is easy. Typical swedish hospitality, very clean and functional, but with a female touch in decor nd furnishings nd teddy bears .... FREE WIFI worked well. A good supermarket just over the road too adds to the convenience, and a few small restauarants adjacent to Maudes, or take 2-3 train stops into Globen or Stockholm City Centre. Buffet breakfast is good, plenty of choice, very fresh etc. Recommended. A nice change from chain hotels too.

We stayed here for two days and booked it through www.destination-stockholm.com, with the Stockholm card. This turned out to be a good combination for us. We wanted to see a lot of Stockholm in 2 days, but being 6 months pregnant I hoped for a good night rest too. We got both: the hotel is situated just next to the Green Line subway which brings you in the center of Stockholm in 15 minutes. But it was very peaceful and quiet at night. The free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies and fresh fruits were great! The staff was very friendly and helpful, they looked up which bus we should take to the airport and even offered to pack us some sandwiches because we had to leave just before breakfast was opened. I will definitely go back if I visit Stockholm again.

It had everything I needed , The problem I had was that there was no night staff and it was not very clear what was the way to get in.

Breakfast was AMAZING for the price.

And they had a laundry service which I never fully understood but i believe it was free.

Just 2 mins walk from the train to the city 2 stops from the globe.. The downside was that the area it is in is literly suburb. I found it difficult to get food out of normal hours.
