Three of us stayed in one room at the Wasa Park Hotel on a Wed night. It's classified as a pension, with bathrooms in the hall. It's located in a beautiful building about a 20min stroll, or a 5min subway ride, from centeral central Stockholm, though there's a large park and cafes in the immediate vicinity. Also it's across the street from the bus to the airport.
Our room had 4 single beds, and for three cost 1075K, and was one of the cheapest rooms I could find. It looked better in person than pictures I've seen on the internet. High ceilings and big windows. Ours faced the road (not loud) and park. The other side faced a sort of 3-sided courtyard. I peeked into one single, and it seemed pretty large (by single standards).
The room was nice, if simple. Fair warning - the walls were quite thin, though not a problem for us. Also, the breakfast tables were in the space between our room and the bathroom, so making the dash in front of early risers in the morning was a bit strange. Speaking of breakfast, it was the standard coffee, tea, cornflakes, cheese, ham, and breads.
What makes this place above average in my books is the staff - they were very accomodating. They allowed us to store our things in their hotel for two nights before our stay (we were heading to the archipelago and didn't want to schlep our large packs). They also allowed us into their kitchen to make tea at night and let us stay in our room till noon the next day. They were very helpful, and it made a big difference in our stay.
