Dinner well above expectations considering it is an included meal which is rare.

Having stayed at a number of hotels in Stockholm I tried the Wellington, which is situated very central close to Östermalmstorg. It is a small hotel and seemed to be recently renovated. I like the design, it's very familiar and also modern. The staff at the reception I found very nice and welcoming. As all these Choice hotels, they have a small evening buffé free of charge. The quality varies between the hotels, but this one is real good. Excellent coffee and that goes also for the homemade cake.
The room i got was of high quality, but here you find the only small shortcomings. The work desk was small and the chair I found to hard to sit on for some hours. Better then to use the armchair. Also the shower space is OK and not large. A plus for the number of towels included. Many hotels nowdays have reduced this to just one or maybe one bigger ane amall one.
The breakfast at Weillington is superior, not that there is a huge buffé, but everything is high qulaity and taste good. They make an effort to have home made bread and other things. Fresh orange juice is also available.
This is a hotel to recommend!

We liked the location of the hotel - conveniently close to everything. The rooms and breakfast are adequate.

However, the evening buffet is no value for the money. The evening we stayed there it consisted of 1 warmed up dish (lasagna), a couple of green salads, bread and two pieces of cheese to slice from. In other words the so called buffet was extremely sparse especially considering it's price (double room + buffet package costs 1699 SEK per night) and giving the fact that where are plenty of other good restaurants in the neighborhood. Due to this fact - only 3 points of 5 for this hotel.

Located centrally at the charming Østermalm in the calm street Storgatan, you find the hidden gem of Clarion Collection Hotel Wellington. We met the personal service already by check in,- employees genuine helpful and interested in our wellbeing. The different floors have different room styles and categories. If you want to really treat your self, try the Sunrise or the Sunset suite on the 6.floor, with even a private balcony. All individual decorated in a fashionable style,- luxurious products in the bathroom, thick towels, and not to mention connections for your personal music adjustable for the different rooms! You wake up with the beautiful “ roof sight” of the city of Stockholm. In the summer you may enjoy your meals or just read a book on the quite terrace, in the winter you may book ant try the sauna.
Start the day with the best breakfast in Stockholm! A variety of nice teas and coffees, homemade bread and specialties of the house as Ira`s muesli, smoothies, plum marmalade and not to mention ,- two days a week,- delicious omelets made a la minute to your choice. Fruit, coffee and tea is available all day for you to enjoy in the cozy and stylish saloons in the lobby area,- some sweet treats in the afternoon,- and not to mention the nice evening buffet with a warm dish , which is also complementary for all staying guests.
The location is also perfect,- there are many restaurants in the area, the charming food court of Østermalmshallen is just down the street,- Djurgården with the nice surroundings and museums a nice stroll a way , the elegant shopping of Sturegallerian and Biblioteksgatan is just 5 min away,- and the boats to enjoy the archipelago of some of Stockholm’s 20.000 islands even so.
We have been here several times,- and will be back, for sure!
