“Pleasent stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I finished my tour in Stockholm and then moved to this hotel for a few nights.

Pros: Staff are courteous and very welcoming.
The breakfast in the morning was great. Any sort of mess was cleared, food was constantly restocked. etc
Location: There are a variety of things on Sodermalm, and you can walk to Gamla Stan easy. So going by these two places, location is good. The hotel is positioned off the main street so it is quiet.

Cons: Stairs. There is no lift in the hotel and if you are on the top floor there are a few stairs.
Location: This is to the heart of stockholm. You have to walk to Slussen train station and then get the metro in.
Bathroom: My room did not have a toilet or a bathroom which i found VERY odd.

Overall though it is a nice place to stay at. I would reccomend anyone.

“Colmbus Hotel, Stockholm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel for one night earlier this month (Jan '12). The hotel room was on the first floor, it was lovely, clean and spacious with en-suite facilities. The hotel serves a good selection of fresh food for breakfast including fruit, cereals and various cold meats. Tea, coffee, water, fruit and biscuits are avaliable free of charge from early afternoon, in the reception area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel situated a short walk from the "old town". I left my purse with cash, various credit cards etc in the bed side table and did not realise I had done this until checking in at the airport for an internal flight. When I contacted the hotel reception staff they informed me the cleaner had just handed it in to them. Arrangements were made for them to post it to my U.k home and within 5 days I recieved it back with all contents in order....fantastic reliable and honest staff!!! Great hotel. I would stay here again!

“Small hotel with character”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Great little hotel. It’s actually a very old building with plenty of charm. The rooms are quite basic but with character. The 3rd floor rooms have communal bathrooms and toilets. These rooms are, of course, cheaper (nothing is very cheap in Sweden)
The staff are super friendly and helpful
Location is central, the breakfast is good but they don’t have a restaurants or the evening.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor rooms have communal bathrooms and toilets. These rooms are, of course, cheaper

“Value for money within walking distance of old city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

This old brewery is now a budget hotel within walking distance (15 minutes) from Gamla Stan, but beware of some steep climbs to reach this part of the city. I stayed here for 3 nights. My room on the 3rd floor had shared facilities and was not very big but adequate. The whole place is very clean. There are no lifts. Breakfast is good, bufet style. Free internet. Quiet location. Very friendly personnel. Would go there again when in Stockholm.

“Nice Hotel in a great area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

I stayed here with a friend while visiting Stockholm for the weekend. We opted for a slightly cheaper, 'shared facilities' room, only because that was all that was left when booking. The room it self was spacious and comfortable with two separate beds. We didn't mind the shared aspect, there were several single toilets as well as a shower area with individual showers and toilets. Next time I would probably try to book further ahead though simply for the convenience off our own bathroom.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was above average, with a great selection of breads, meats and cheeses, as well as cereal and yogurt. While most of that is standard at many hotels, the food here was especially fresh and tasty.

The neighborhood may be the best thing this hotel has going for it. There is plenty to do and see within walking distance in this up and coming, trendy neighborhood of Soedern / SoFo.

Overall a great weekend in Stockholm!

Room Tip: West side of the building seemed to have larger rooms, at least on the third floor.
