This place is both a hostel and a hotel. I stayed in one of the hotel rooms. The room contained one medium sized bed and a collapsible bunk bed. It would probably have been a bit tight with 4 persons in there but for a single traveler there was plenty of space. I did appreciate the fast wired internet access. Breakfast was also nice. The location was perfect for the place I was visiting and the area is nice.

We stayed in a 2 bed bunk room at the hostel and self catered. Good value. Well located near park and quiet at night and seemed well insulated.
Tables outside for outside breakfast if good weather. Staff helpful. Lockable section of fridge in kitchen, and lockable safe in room.
Only negative points are there seemed insufficient sinks in the kitchen and that whilst the free internet at reception is good I'd pay to have better access (it kept closing down) and be able to book a slot.
We'd come here again.

Nice hostel in an out of town green area. It has small old-fashioned rooms but a youthful atmosphere. You can ask for a cable to access internet. A good price for a stay in Stockholm.

I stayed at Zinkensdamm in August 2007 for the annual Stockholm Junior Water Prize, and had the time of my life. Admittedly, this was largely due to the group of people I spent the week with and the program that was organised for us, however even so, Zinkensdamm shone as a fantastic little hostel. The rooms were small yet large enough for all bags, breakfast was fantastic, and the hostel itself was a five minute walk from many restaurants and a train station, as well as being situated close to a great park and several great - albeit rather freezing - inland beaches.
Some of the best memories I've ever had occurred at Zinkensdamm, and I would recommend it strongly to anyone looking for well-priced accommodation in Stockholm.
