We were looking for a decently priced but still nice Hotel in Stockholm. We booked a standard Doubleroom but got upgraded to a Suite (still not sure why..) The Suite had a living room, and a separate bedroom which was all in all actually nice, and a bathroom with a tub. The price was also good considering the size of the Suite and the location. The Breakfast is served in a room with no windows, it is true, but it is clean and the buffet was okay. Reasonable options catering to international guests. The negatives: the receptionists were not openly unfriendly but not nice either, they will check you in and thats it for communication until check out. The narrow spiral staircase that led to our room meant lugging our luggage up after a long flight.

Clean rooms, nice staff but No Windows in the rooms and it was so hot in the rooms that you needed bottled water to keep cool. Breakfast was ok and it is very inexpensive for Stockholm and centrally located. Free Wi-fi was good.

I found Alexandra Hotel from internet and chose it because of its central location and its good price compared the other hotels in Stockholm which are centrally located. At first i was a bit confused about the comments that i read here. Some were positive and some were negative especially about the behavior hotel personnel. But this negative comments about the personnel changed for me in first minute. I hired a room without a window and when i went to my room i realized some small problem with the door which could be easylie handled, but i informed it to the blond manager anyway and they changed it to a much better room with windows without any extra charge. I was highly pleased of their approach with the issue. Besides this all their behaviour were generally very positive nad helpfull during all my stay. The hotel is 15 min walking distance to Gamla Stan but this is a very nice road to walk, especially when u finish the Swedensborg Gatan and reach a nice hill which offers one of the best panoramas of the city. The hotel is also very close to Stockholm Södra Train Station, Mariatorget and Medborgarplatsen Metro Stations from which you can reach the center from this stations in 3-5 minutes. Södermalm area itself is an attractive area and there many restaurants, bars, markets and shopping areas close to hotel.

Stange hotel to see. it is one long corridor on the groundfloor of a building. Good public transport possibilities, metro, bus on hand or on walking distance. Visited from here everything in city center Stockholm. Breakfast was average.
