After reading mixed reviews of this hotel I was terrified beyond words to actually have to stay there but boy was I in for a big surprise! This was not at all an unpleasant stay! I went out to Stockholm to visit my boyfriend and we needed a getaway on a budget. The hotel is very clean and well managed. The staff is friendly and most helpful available to you at any hour, day or night. Rooms are MUCH nicer looking in person than any pictures online (from the pictures alone I was even afraid to look when my boyfriend first opened the door to our room!). Rooms are nice and spacious, fresh linens are provided and house keeping available daily. The hotel's free breakfast was more than delicious and the lobby of the hotel had a very nice atmosphere where most of the hotel's guests could be found late night enjoying drinks. Id say the only downfall was no AC in the hotel rooms! It was a little hard to keep the air in the room fresh and not stuffy. Overall a great hotel and i'd never hesitate to return and spend many nights there! And all the talks about it being far?? It takes about 7 minutes to walk over a bridge and to the bus that takes you straight to the train stop making everything accessible to you in minutes, and the walk is LOVELY. Book with no hesitation and enjoy!

My stay at The New World Hotel - was a short one, but a pleasant stay. After staying in nurmerous hotels throughout Europe - the staff here were by far the friendliest!! Christian makes a great cup of tea!!

This hotel is very far from the city centre of Stockholm and needs a taxi to go anywhere since it is on a major highway. It is fine (location-wise) if you are going to the the Stockholmsmässan.
Weirdly the hotel has a distinctive Chinese-feel to it including the breakfast buffet.
Roos are basic. I wouldn't have stayed in this hotel if it was my choice, a city-centre location would be much better.
