Hotel with various types of room. I have a great room which located on the 7th Floor. I have a very reasonable room size with 2 single beds and a good size balcony witha good view.

I stayed for one night at this hotel for a business trip.

The hotel itself is a little old, you can see this in the rooms and hallways.
The room was clean though, and the staff very friendly (especially at the front desk).

The breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold food.

The hotel is located a short walk from the old city, and relatively close to the metro.

We enjoyed the Scandic Sjofartshotellet very much. The hotel was very nicely decorated; the room was comfortable and clean; staff was very helpful; complimentary breakfast was good. Best of all, its location was perfect for us. We had a balcony (as did all of the rooms on our side of the hotel) that provided a wonderful view of the water and the city. We walked to the subway stop and boat launch (useful for getting to those islands that were more readily accessible by way of boat) in just a few minutes. And we easily walked to all areas of the city (north and south of the hotel). It was rather central for our purposes and for that alone I'd recommend the hotel. But it was entirely comfortable and attractive as well. Don't let its facade fool you!

When I arrived at the hotel I was very dissapointed, it looks very dull and more like a run down hostel. But the reception area is ok and the staff friendly. The room was small but nice and mine had a very nice view of the cruice ship harbour. Breakfast was standard "Swedish" with the usual selection, nothing fancy but ok.
