I stayed at Guldgrend for four weeks in January/February 2012. This is not really a hotel, but a house of apartments. There is no reception, bar or restaurant, but the area is full of places to eat and drink. The management was very accessible by email and answered all my inquiries the same day. I had a small apartment on the top floor with a small living room, a bed in a separate part of the apartment bathroom and a small kitchen as part of the living room. All seemed new and fresh, and the kitchen was well equipped for simple cooking for one or two. There s no elevator, so dragging my big suitcase up there was quite a task. The apartments are cleaned once a week.
The place has both wired internet and wifi, but the wifi was a bit unstable. At times it was quite fast, but other times, especially in the evening it was all but non-existent.
Threr s a bit of noise from the nearby Hilton hotel in the evenings.
All in all a good place to stay if you want a more personal place than a hotel.
