The location is very good, a few minutes walk from the trainstation and center of Malmö. Checkin and checkout efficient. The hotel is a bit worn and could need some renovation. The room was quite large and clean. Good bed and no disturbance from traffic outside, away from the main road. Breakfast was adequate without being exciting. In conclusion: a ok hotel, but many other alternatives with better value for money in the same area.

Beautiful hotel with matching rooms. In a small street in Malmo. If you want to park your car, you have a small problem if you don't use the hotels' garage. This garage is located just around the corner and easy to use. Finding a parking spot nearby the hotel, but outside of the garage is almost impossible.
They serve breakfast in the hotel, but there's no restaurant for diner.

Stayed here for one night! The description, explained it had old english charm... does that explain the cobwebs, worn wallpaper and old furniture in our room, ... we were disappointed.

Having stayed at the Elite Plaza in Malmö on our last visit, i thought they would all be meeting the same high standard...of course i was wrong, On checking out, the staff never asked if our room or our stay was ok!!... is this good customer service?
Next time we will stay at the Elite Plaza, were the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean.

The Elite Hotel Residens is one of three properties in the Elite chain in Malmo. I usually stay at the Elite Plaza but now was able to get such a good rate at the Residens so decided to try it. The hotel has an excellent location, minutes away from the central station and very close to the city center. Despite its central location it is still quiet as it faces a small road.

The hotel lobby has a nice feel to it and the atmosphere is relaxed. Check-in was very quick and no problems at all. A small plus is that they asked if I required internet access (codes are required and I tend to forget to ask for those and then have to go back to the front desk so always appreciated when they ask).

The room was somewhat of a disappointment. It was fairly large but they still just put a very small and narrow bed in there. Would have been smarter to put a larger bed there. The furniture looked slightly dated and it would be nice if they modernized the room slightly. There is nothing wrong with any of it but it did feel like most of things had been there around 20 years or so. I was happy to see that they put water kettle and coffee/tea in the room but I was missing an iron and ironing board. Bathroom was perfectly fine, there is no bathtub but did not really bother me (shower worked fine).

Breakfast was a disappointment, not at all same level as at the Elite Plaza. There was a selection of both hot and cold food but the quality was not very good and the range was much more limited than at the Elite Plaza.

The hotel as such is perfectly fine and if they would improve the breakfast, modernize the rooms and put an iron and ironing board it would warrant a higher rating. Will consider staying here again if I find the same low rate I paid now but will otherwise stay at the Elite Plaza.
