My family and I have stayed at Elite Hotel Savoy for years when visiting Malmo and we are always pleasantly surprised. The hotel is at a perfect location close to both the central station and the shopping area. The rooms have just been renovated and are clean, fresh and comfortable. The service is excellent and staff really go out of their way to look after their customers every time.
The pub next door is great for a casual dinner and drinks!

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip for one night. Had a superior room on the top floor and the room was the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. It had a big bed and a sofa group with a view over the roofs of Malmö. Bathroom was big with a bathtub. The only downside of the room was it's location behind two elevators and a couple of windy corridors, but it sure was quiet! Breakfast was well-known Elite-quality with everything you could wish for. Location is near the restaurants and shopping (the center of Malmö is quite small so everything is close) but the railwaystation is just opposite the hotel, which makes this hotel excellent choice for traintravellers.

There's something very londonesque about this hotel, with corridors leading to stairs and elevators taking you away to floor 2,5 and so on. But it is in a good way.

The Savoy has been there forever, and it oozes with some kind of small town confidence that it is THE hotel in Malmö. Nearby Mäster Johan may argue and definitely have a case, but Savoy is still Savoy.

Nice restaurant, very professional staff. The hotel pub could be a bit more classy, though.

All in all, a nice place to stay at.

I've lived at many of the Elite hotels all around Sweden, and always found them very good, with one exception. This is the exception. I cannot even bgin to list all the things that is wrong with this hotel. I had to change room twice before getting a room where everything was working or was clean enough. The surrounding areas, such as corridors, elevators, reception, is in the worst shape I've seen a hotel that claims to be of this standard. It looks like its been 30-40 years since anything was done, and if something was done, the cheapest possible way to renovate was chosen with cheap paint on the walls, etc. Was quite taken aback by the poor standard. If you do not specifically ask for a room close to the elevator, you may find yourself walking corridors up and down, flights of stairs, before getting to the actual room, suffering through dirty corridors with wall to wall carpenting giving way. The last room I got was somewhat redeeming, but all in all this hotel should not be given more than 2 stars, tops. Could someone PLEASE renovate this old historical hotel which has the pontential to be a gem, but sadly enough there is no love for this hotel by the present owners.
