The beds are OK but the rooms are beginning to show obvious signs of age. The paintwork is chiped and the bathrooms needs and overhaul.
The restaurant definitely also needs to improve it's food. It was either overfried, overcooked or overdone. The Club Sandwich I ordered, that seemed like the only lighter meal on the menu, was dripping in Curry majo and and fat drippings and was made up of so many slices of bread and only a tiny piece of chicken. It may be cheaper to make it that way, but seems far from the Scandic hotel Jamie Oliver healthy food profile advertised.
Despite promises of a daily newspaper, these were all gone.
The hotel should also move the smoker's corner from its' current location outside the restaurant. When the restaurant door is left open (by the smokers) the smoke free restaurant becomes quite the opposite.
