We stayed in this hotel for one night with our two daughters (12 years of age) in July 2011 while traveling from the Netherlands to Norway. The hotel is situated just adjacent to the E6 motorway, approximately 80 kilometers north from Malmo. It is localized in a rather remote rural area, 3 kilometers from Angelholm and 4 kilometers from the sea.
Our (family-)room was about 15 square meters. It had one twin bed and a separate bunk bed for two persons. The furniture was a little outdated and the room wasn’t quite clean, there was some dust on flat surfaces. There is a wooden floor. The twin bed had two separate mattresses and was comfortable. The room was well isolated, no noise from the motorway or other hotel guests. There was a heating in the room, but no air-conditioning.
There was an additional small hall of 4 square meters with two small wardrobes. The small bathroom (4 square meters) had a shower and toilet and was clean. There were no hotel guest toiletries but two shampoo an soap dispensers mounted on the wall.
There is a free WIFI connection of good quality available. In respect to the safety, there are fire detectors in the room, the escape routes are clearly indicated.
The staff is friendly. We complained about the room we got first (which was not clean at all) and got another one right away. Breakfast was rather basic, but OK. A bar and restaurant are available, but we did not visit them
This place is fine for a stopover for one night, but if you want to stay for a longer period, you may consider looking for another hotel. The price of this room was low compared to the other hotels in this region, but of course this comes along with a somewhat poorer quality. Pulling everything together, this hotel is reasonable value for money.
In summary: Why should you stay in this hotel? If you are making a stopover and you won’t like to stay in an expensive hotel, this place might be what you are looking for. Why should you not stay in this hotel? Well, if you are looking for a comfortable, luxurious stay, this is not the place to be.
