This hotel was obviously something else in a former life, like an institution or offices or hostel or something, because it was just a bit strange. It didn't really have a welcoming feel either. Our rooms were adequate but basic, even though they were superior - we can assume that the superior bit was the lakeside view which was very nice. Rooms were a bit cobwebby, as if they'd been cleaned a while back and left empty. The bathroom was a wetroom and was also very basic but functional. We had free Wi-Fi though which was a plus. Corridors had shocking seventies wallpaper which was interesting! The lift was functional but the stairs looked like high school stairs! The breakfast room however was welcoming and the Scandic free breakfast was very plentiful and of a good quality/choice. This was just a quick stopover for us but we were glad of this as it lacked the comfort we thought we'd get for our £90 a night!
