This was, quite simply, a wonderful hotel. The location was ideal to downtown restaurants, shopping, the university, the riverfront-- I walked everywhere. The rooms felt quite spacious to me (I was able to do yoga!) Free dinner and breakfast buffets were an amazing amentity, I was so surprised and pleased by their extended hours and generous selection! The service was exceptionally helpful, in terms of helping me arrange a cab to the airport, find local restaurants, and moving to a room with a stronger wifi signal for my laptop.

It's not a luxury hotel, but Umea is so beautiful and peaceful and lovely that a simply wonderful, comfortable, friendly hotel with great hospitality is more than perfect.
