We stayed five nights; my wife and I. Our room on the top floor was a bit hot, 26 degrees, although we kept the window constantly open. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about, besides we could not get the WLAN work on the Mac. OK standard breakfast. Free simple buffet during the day makes you fell welcome. Friendly personal.

This is a very friendly and conveniently situated hotel. Unlike British hotels, with their narrow (and thus scuff marked) corridors and tiny rooms, Uman is spacious, and the bedrooms are large and well appointed, though comfortable rather than luxurious. Staff were efficient and friendly, and WiFi is included in the room rate. The breakfast buffet was excellent - fresh fruit, breads, yoghurts, delicious crispy bacon, scrambled egg, and little smoked sausages. There is also a simple evening buffet - a welcome option if you arrive late or don't want to eat out every night. I very much enjoyed my stay, and would warmly recommend this hotel to others visiting Umea.

I had read somewhat mixed reviews on Uman, but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are quite large, at least in a Swedish/European context. Clean and tidy with a good location downtown Umeå. Nice with dinner included (nothing special, but great if you are tired and don't feel to leave the hotel). A plus for free waffles in the lounge! Only downside would be the staff. Almost invisible.

I booked the hotel in a hurry based on a local recommendation and I find the hotel really good value for money. The room is very spacious, clean and has a fresh atmosphere. I did not know beforehand that there is also free dinner buffet in the evening. So you can enjoy free food here nearly all day long - there is a possibility to make wafels and have fruit and hot drinks during the daytime. It is centrally situated in a good location.
