I stayed here on business, it was set up by our hosts. Its really a nice hotel, Scandic is pretty common in this part of the world, and it's definitely a 3 star place, but they offer a lot of great services that make this expensive country easier to deal with.
The reception is very friendly, cute girls working there! The rooms are a little dated - could use some new stuff in there, but the bathroom was very modern - and the room as a whole was very clean and well kept. Not many amenities in there, I like to see coffee machines in my rooms, but there were the bare essentials (and who stays in their room anyway).
The hotel has breakfast with the price of the room, and it's a huge breakfast. Giant spread of fruit, cold meats, cheese and a selection of hot food. At the Hilton they would charge you 30 Euros for something like that.
Also, they offer free WiFi everywhere in the hotel - a huge plus.
My only big issue with this hotel is its location. It's in an industrial park in the northern part of the city. About a 20 min walk to the city center. So there's nothing around there to see or do or eat. I recommend a taxi to the harbor - about 120Kroner (12 euro). The cool place to visit is the "Boat" which is a barge by city center that turns into a night club in the summer - awesome!
Overall this place is great, my favorite part of the hotel were the smiles that greet you when you walk in the door. Enjoy!

As often I do, also here I used the great Scandic summer offers of nice double room for 50 euro only including breakfast. Free parking and free internet access was included. The location is poor if you want to walk to the city and obviously if planning to have a pint or two you will need to take a taxi back to the hotel.

Very basic hotel outside Lulea, located between the main road and railway and behind a McDonald's, petrol stations and car dealers. Our room was poorly furnished and ventilated. Had dinner in the resturant in the evening which was acceptable, but the breakfast buffet was very plain. If in Lulea I would strongly recommend finding another hotel and location.
