Further to my review last October: I returned to the Olive Tree again this September, again as part of a large group. Firstly, I had a really good room this time. Spacious, clean and modern. Obviously, the setting of the hotel is still great.
The downsides: The staff are lazy and uniterested. For example: On 3 days we asked for towels at the poolside as there were none left. Each time they promised to bring some and despite being asked again, did not. The difference when the air crew staff (who use this hotel frequently) asked was unbelieveable. The food was very poor (much worse than last year) it was often cold, and whilst I will eat most things, was not aimed at the clientele (mainly UK) As was the case last year, drinks are a ridiculous price (8TL for half a beer) we did not partake of the drinks!!
Once again I can say: this hotel could be so much better with just a little bit of care, staff who care and better food. And of course a rather large reduction in the price of the drinks!!
