We were given a weekend break for 2 as a christmas present from our children to wonderful Copenhagen. They were given professional advice from Twohigs travel with regard to the location and condition of the hotel. Location was great however the room we were given was not up to the standard of a decent hostel. We complained at reception but to no avail so decided to ring Twohigs for help. Alas nothing good came of it and I am still waiting for them to contact me to sort out the problem. Well some good did come of my complaining, on return to the hotel after having dinner out the duty Manager decided to move us to the 5th floor. The room here was 3 star standard which is more than I can say for Twohigs travel. Thank God for the internet and being able to do things online at least you only have yourself to complain about and not the travel operator.

Great location, close to the city centre, walking distance to restaurants and the Central train station. We were there in Dec 2011, it was a pleasant stay. Clean rooms, quite basic but good enough for a city break, as we didnt spend much time in the hotel. Breakfast was ok, as we are vegetarians didnt have much choice. Staff was quite friendly and helpful as well. Would definitely reccommend it if you are not looking for a luxurious hotel, and are there for a short city break.

The Richmond Hotel was only a short walk from the Central Station and we could see the Tivoli Gardens from our room window. The hotel was clean, the breakfasts were really good and the staff in the reception was very helpful! The Shower was a washroom but it was clean and I would recommend it for a short break in Copenhagen.

I stayed there 2 nights. It is very well located and twin rooms are big enough, but terribly kept. Shower sink was dirty and stuck, and we changed two rooms before finding a shower which does not flood the room. Also soap, towels, toothpaste and all the other facilities were partially missed, but staff is prompt in helping customers. Breakfast is "English", they give a huge choice on buffet despite the quality of products was a sort of Tesco basic. I personally found staff really competent and kind except for a receptionist, very incompetent.
In brief: if you have got time you can find better places for the same price, but it's good despite it's extremely bad managed.
