“4 Star Price with 5 Star Service!!!!”

Great location. Right next to the river. Close to a shopping mall. Close to town, 10 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens.

This was my first visit to this great city. I was in town for 4 days to attend a wedding with a group of friends. Although we all thought this was a expensive city. We all found this hotel great value for money.

The staff and the location make this place special. Great looking bar and restaurant food is nice. The hotel hire out bikes for about £10 for the day. Which is a great way to see the city and get some exercise while seeing the sites.

One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a value for money hotel in a expensive city.

“Worth another stay! Hotel offers great deals when booking online!”

I have just come back from staying 2 nights at the lovely Copenhagen Island hotel in Denmark and i can not fault it! From the moment my fiancée and i entered the hotel we were impressed. We were able to have a quite romantic weekend here which was like an oasis compared to noisy London (where we're from). We managed to get a superior room with a harbour view, early check-in (12pm), late check out (2pm), free breakfast and even a nice welcome drink (which he had btw), all because we booked online through their website which surprisingly turned out to be cheaper then using hotel booking websites. The view from our room was beautiful and the room was modern and clean. The hotel even had a small steam room and sauna which certainly hit the spot when we came in from the cold late in the evening! The only thing that we were slightly disappointed (and i mean slightly in the smallest sense), was that the food and the service in the hotel harbour front restaurant wasn't as fantastic as we thought it was going to be. They didn't have what i ordered on the menu and i wasn't told until 15mins later by chance as the waiter topped up my fiancées wine glass after he had to call him over. we couldn't seem to see our waiter at times. Don't get me wrong it was still good food and decent service in the restaurant but we just expected a bit more as it was part of a 4 star hotel that's all, but all in all the view from the harbour front restaurant more than makes up for it. We seriously enjoyed it here and would recommend it to family and friends within a heartbeat as we plan to come back again.

Room Tip: Definitely book a room with a harbour view, its so worth it. Also i would suggest paying a bit more...

“Good quality business hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

I regularly stayed at the Island for business and always found the staff helpful and polite. The hotel has a great Nordic design edge to it and offers some good value deals. The rooms vary in quality but all are good...try and get a room facing the harbor and NOT the main road...you can still hear the hum of the traffic. Breakfast is great and so to is the bar. Its more than a "short" walk from the centre of town....but there are plenty

“Ultra modern and stylish ...and...technically...on an island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Unique hotel located on a tiny man-made island (a small moat is about the largest gap). The hotel is located right next to the Fisketorvet Mall which is great and has a mix of everything. That is about the best thing in terms of location. It's a bit of a walk to other CPH tourist attractions.

Tip, if you are walking to Tivoli or the center of town, exit the hotel out the back and walk along the canal. You'll pass through a mix of offices, hotels, galleries and industrial all built in typical modern skandinavian style. Once you reach the Marriott, head streetside nd you'll hit Bernstorffsgade main street north to the train station and CBD.

Hotel rooms all offer great views no matter where you're located, but higher rooms are the best. Furnished in typical modern contemporary Danish style, each room is well equipped, comfortable, and very white minimalist. As is typical in some Danish style, it may appear cold/clinical at first, but evening brings well thought out warm lighting throughout the room.

Hotel restaurant has a fantastic breakfast (the Danish love breakfast!). Sometimes a bit of a lineup in the morning, and it's a little tricky to find the restaurant the first time, but well worth it.

Taxis are easy to find, and if there are ever none waiting, just walk next door to the shopping mall main pickup/drop off roundabout.

Good for business, not as recommended for families (try the Marriott or Radisson), and not great for tourism (choose the Radisson or someone closer to Nyhavn. Enjoy the island.

Room Tip: Stay above floor 2 to avoid the interior restaurant foot traffic.

“Stylish and Fun”

The Copenhagen Island Hotel has a great location right on Copenhagen Harbour. The rooms are bright and enjoy lovely floor to ceiling widows. Rooms are small, but the amazing height makes them feel spacious. They are very well designed and the little touches make you feel special. The beds are very comfy and the service is superb. Spent one night here but would definitely return.
The location is a 10 minute walk from the railway station and water taxis also service the hotel making it relatively easy to get to all the places you want to see in Copenhagen.

Room Tip: Get a cool room facing the water. Awesome.
