Having been to Copenhagen numerous times as I family living there and I have stayed in many hotels, this has got to be the worst one EVER. In the 5 nights we stayed there not once was the bed linen changed, room was not cleaned and the bins were not emptied. The only reason we got clean towels is becaused we asked for them and even at that the towels were dumped at our door???
All the problems we had all related to THIS hotel. The breakfast was the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen/tased, my family and I are very well travelled across Europe but this was awful. The meat/cheese/bread was not fresh and when I asked could I get some milk hearted for my Daughters ceral they said they could not accomadate this even though I seen a microwave about 3-4 feet from the dining area.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location, lovely area in Valby Langgade, close to everything. Although I/we did not enjoy the hotel we love Copenhagen and made the most of a very bad situation. Tivoli Gardens are an absolute must, expensive but worth every penny try the DEMON!!!
We paid over 5,000 DKK but we could have stayed in the main city in a 4* hotel with a pool for LESS!! but because this hotel was close to where the family lived we decided to stay there instead, what a mistake. This is a 3* hotel how I don't know, no tea/coffee making facilities, no disabled access, no internet and as I have already stated could not even heat up milk????
From the outside it is a nice looking hotel but then you go through the dining area, through the courtyard and then you enter the hotel. We did ask for the room to be cleaned after a strange woman entered the room while my kids were playing (We were next door with the Brother) and she had a [--] in our toilet even though her room was located next door (We stayed in the middle room) the room was NEVER cleaned.
We will be returning to Copenhagen for another family event next year but I will NEVER stay in this hotel EVER AGAIN. Staff are very badly organised as every morning we got asked by reception staff what time are we checking out at and if we swapped room's, every morning we told them we are not leaving yet we booked for 5 night's and I am in the same room that was allocated to me upon arrival. They had no problem understanding English and one of the brothers speaks fluent Danish and they still messed up. I have read the other review listed here and I could not agree on any point they made apart from the location.
If anyone would like to contact me to share my experience I am nore than willing to be contacted by E-mail.
Copenhagen is a great city and worth a visit just do not stay here, it's a DUMP!!!
