This was my fifth stay at Gentofte Hotel. It's a very pleasant and comfortable place, newly renovated, in a practical location near bus and train and with many shops incl supermarkets and a movie theater within easy walking distance. The bakery down the street is known far and wide, but is usually closed for summer vacation a couple of weeks in July/August. There's free parking behind the hotel, though it often gets crowded there, but there's ample parking space opposite the local church a couple of minutes up the street. Also a beautiful lake with swans and ducks just five minutes away, well worth a visit. There's a bus stop right outside the door and a train station a 5-10-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms aren't large, but are nicely and comfortably arranged, though more closet space with shelves would be very welcome. No air condition, and it can get hot and sticky in the room. Aside from the hotel restaurant, which is fine, there are only a couple of pizza places and a small Italian restaurant inside a courtyard five minutes away, but there are no restaurants of the same category as the one in the hotel anywhere within walking distance. There's a PC in the lobby, free for guests to use. Coffee/tea in room.
