“Good for business”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

A very nice business hotell with a splendid location. The rooms are OK, but at this price you would expect a lot more. The breakfast was very enjoyable but the dining room was quite crowded. There is a nice bar at the hotel, but not at all as pulsating as the hotel crew told us. Its a good hotel for getting the job done, but not much more.

“Great location in the city center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We spent a long weekend at the Skt Petri and although we were a little worried about the negative reviews we had read on tripadvisor.com, we fortunately cannot confirm those. We thought the hotel was excellent. First thing when we arrived we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious, comfortable and had a nice view. There is also free WiFi in the rooms. The location is perfect to visit the city center. We particularly liked the generous breakfast buffet with the coffee machine that provided an excellent cappuccino. We can highly recommend this hotel to everybody who's going to Copenhagen.

“A bit faded - not 5 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

First of all the receptionist was simply rude and unpleasant. It's a service profession and not to show yourself off by insulting guests.

The rooms are a bit dated and modest for a design hotel. I believe the hotel is about 10 years old and it is slightly starting to show in the rooms. What would maybe be fancy and upscale design 10 yers ago is quite common and not so special anymore. The WOW factor is not there. There is not a flat screen TV but the old large models. The furniture is slightly starting to show of age but luckilly it's not dramatic. Some rooms got balconies which must be perfect for summer days. However it's really nothing wrong, but it's just not quite what I expected. Nice view from the top floor.

The bathrooms are below average and modest in design and at least funcionality. The shower (see picture) is in the middle of the bathtub and there is nothing preventing the water from spilling on the floor. What is the point? Is is supposed to be some design element? The floor was also tilted away from the bathtub and towards the door on the opposite side making the entire bathroom floor wet. The floor is not heated and it takes forever to dry if you don't choose to soak your towels with water. I had to change socks twice when forgetting about this when entering the bathroom. Bathroom amenities where regular hotel chain stuff and nothing special.

There is no doorman, no concierge (use of reception only), no bell boys, no ordering of coffee or tea at the breakfast table (all self service) etc. There is no pool or sauna facilities and the bar closed at midnight. Didn't try the restaurant. The breakfast selection was really good.

The bar however is very nice and seems to be popular among guests but maybe also locals. It was quite busy untill they closed - at midnight. How strange is that when the bar was still full of patrons. The bartender (woman) was very pleasant and smiling. Very good drinks. We had a nice evening in the bar - untill they closed at midnight.

All together the overall feeling is not a 5 star hotel, but a quite acceptable and average 4 star hotel. If this was a 4 star hotel the score would be very good but as a 5 star hotel it's a bit below average.

Room Tip: High floor and balcony.

“Very Good Property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I stayed here on February 5th and it is a very nice property. The bar is quite nice in the evening and they have a live DJ on the weekend; however, the pace is casual and crowd is varied. The bar has excellent bar tenders and their drink list is expansion. The rooms are spacious by European standards and the internet connection is fast and free. The staff was quite friendly and spoke fluent English. The area of town this is in is convenient to numerous shops and restaraunts and there is a train/metro station within a five minute walk. While this hotel is suitable for business, it would be quite nice in the summer when the days are long and the cafe's are open to all hours of the night. This is a very modern hotel with new appointments and very comfortable beds. In the summer, a balcony room is a must as there are some good views to be had. I did not visit the on-sight spa; however, their menu was expansive.

“Nice hotel, modest rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

The staff are very nice. If you are looking for modern or luxury though this is not the place for you. Rooms on the level of a Marriott Courtyard. Odd features such as no shower curtain on bath with shower so watch for slippery floors and fall risk.
Exercise facilities a bit disorganized.
Best part is the welcoming staff.
