Broke a golden rule "never stay near the Main Train Station".
It's normally too dodgy an area late at night.
But...due to the high hotel prices in Copenhagen, I had no other option, bar the Airport.
In this case, although the area felt "a bit dodgy" - being approached by "Street Professionals" is never something I feel comfortable with - I've seen a lot worse elsewhere in the world and I most certainly never felt in danger.
Single room was very small, the fittings were old, but it was clean enough and everything worked.
Ever helpful reception staff and a good breakfast buffet compensated greatly for any location disadvantages.
The plus being, the train station was 3 minutes walk and I got a Day ticket to cover all the Island of Zealand, and could have spent the entire day just exploring the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (a "must see")
Aside:
Was a bit shocked to see the person in charge of the Breakfast Buffet admonishing a couple from Country X for secreting food into their bag for later "if you do that, we will charge you twice", but clearly this must have been a problem for the Hotel. I winked at the errant couple in question, but got only an inscrutable response...
