My friend and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of October. The Bethel's location is great and very easy to find.....just a few minutes walk from the Metro station which takes you to the airport in about 15 -
We walked everywhere - the National Museum is well worth a visit and I would recommend the Canal Boat tour (unfortunately the weather wasn't good but the trip was enjoyable anyway). We managed to find Christiania and that was certainly "different" - not for everyone but we had a great Falafel for about £4 which was the cheapest food we found all weekend!!!!
The restaurants opposite the hotel are expensive but we found a couple with set 3 course deals which were absolutely fine....also found the Scottish bar most enjoyable (the food we had there was good too.
The Bethel hotel is old and the rooms are a bit basic but perfectly acceptable. Wasn't too keen o the shower arrangement but the room was clean, all the staff were lovely and very helpful and the breakfast was adequate. One big plus was the free tea and coffee all day (with free Daish pastries if you're lucky)
All in all I would defintely recommend theBethel tof anyone looking for a decent place to stay in a VERY expensive city.
