I chose this hotel with the help of my travel agent for a few days in Copenhagen when travelling with my son, so a twin bedded room was asked for and supplied. The location is great - walking distance to the station, shops, Tivoli Gardens etc. The room was spotless and looked as though it had just been refurbished, also the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable + free internet connection.
We were there in July 2010 - summer. It was extremely hot and humid. There was a small electric fan in the room which did not help as the windows of the room opened into the central atrium of the hotel which trapped the heat. I asked for a change of rooms, but the only alternative was 2 singles which was not appropriate for us. We left a day early for a room with air conditioning so we could have a good night's sleep before our flight back to Australia.

Detta hotell ligger i slutet/början av Ströget och nära Tivolit. Buss till flygplatsen går precis utanför, det är långt att gå till tunnelbannan. I närheten av hotellet ligger biograf, restauranger (Rosie McGees, Tight m.m), Seven elven, matbutiker,shopping m.m. Dålig frukostbuffe var minus.

Arrived late and stayed one night on a business trip (other hotels were full). Tiny old lift to 4th floor. Dark and dinghy corridor where lights only come on when you walk past a sensor. My room was at the end of a long corridor (a dead end) with an internal aspect. Despite being on 4th floor the noise from the lounge in the internal atrium carried and could hear people sitting on sofas there chatting/drinking.
Room was dark - wardrobe scratched with musty smell. Bathroom was large with a very noisy fan that continued to rattle all night.
My room had an interconnecting door which was not locked (always disconcerting) so felt I had to move the chest of doors in front of it just in case. The walls were paper thin. I could hear the couple in the next room talking and yawning - yuk!
Complimentary mini-bar which is fine if you like diet Coke. Room service stops at 9.30pm which is hopeless if you arrive late on a business trip & don't want to go out.
Breakfast room was communal with buffet laid out and help yourself to drinks and cutlery. The room in the bar where you could also eat breakfast was dirty - wooden tables seemingly still dirty from the night before & litter on the floor.
The ground floor corridors and reception area were so dark it just felt really grubby.
I wouldn't try this hotel again as I had such a horrible stay. It's definitely not 4 star - I've stayed in better 2 star hotels.
The First Hotels website is misleading for this hotel.

Spent one night at this hotel during a business trip.

Spot on location. We had a big room with nice beds, had a good night sleep.

Very friendly staff that were quick and helpful.

Would recommend this for business and couples.
