“Nice hotel, friendly staff”

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2010. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff were all friendly and offered advice. We arrived early in the morning (before 9:00am) and our room was ready.

The room was not large, but we didn't stay here much; there is too much to do in Copenhagen. We had a small balcony overlooking part of the city. And the location of the hotel is nice and convenient to public transit and close to Nyhavn, Stroget, Tivoli, Christiansborg Palace, Rosenborg Castle, and lots of the other sights in the city.

Breakfast was good but busy. During the weekends you definitely want to take breakfast earlier to beat the rush, but again the hotel was good about warning you about this.

“Perfect”

Stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel's location to be perfect, close to everyhting we needed, but away from the normal hustle and bustle of the city centre. The room was a little on the small side, but this was made up for in cosyness. Polite and friendly staff. A great breakfast was served with a fantastic range of delicious Danish Pastries.

“Perfect location, Great staff, Average room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The location of the hotel couldn't be better- next to Nyhavn and a few minutes walk from Strøget, the Royal Palace and the gardens in the north. Great for wandering around the city and spending the evening in one of the excellent restaurants in this charming area. The lobby was cosy, the staff friendly and helpful and the Irish Coffee from the front desk bar very enjoyable. Useful to have the wifi in the lobby. They also stamped and sent my postcards at no exta charge.

The room was very average for a 'Superior double' but I suspect this is more symptomatic of Copenhagen than anything else. The size was ok with the superior room giving a very small extra windowed area, large enough for a chair. 'Partial view' means that if you lean out of the window you can see the water through a gap in the buildings. The room wasn't dirty but I would say it wasn't meticulously clean. A few dusty areas and a slightly grubby bath and sink surround. The heated bathroom floor is nice though, as is the ability to have an actual bath as well as a shower. Mattresses a little soft but good size.

My only big disappointment was breakfast. I don't like to be too fussy but I have to say that I had the worst scrambled eggs here that I have ever tried. Other than that it was fairly basic- bread, jam, yoghurt, cereals and cold meats. Cutlery wasnt very clean and the bowls were always wet. It's a shame as it brings the place down.

Overall, the room was adequate but not what I would expect from a superior room, even comparing to London and Rome prices. But no big complaints, it served a purpose for sleeping after a long day and was extremely quiet. Due to the excellent location and pleasant lobby and staff, I had an enjoyable stay. As for Copenhagen itself, I can only say that it's wonderful so perhaps the location of the hotel is the most important aspect anyway.

“Nice Hotel Nearby Kongens Nytorv Metro Station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We chose this hotel mainly because of the location and weren't disappointed. It's is very easy to get to from the airport (about 20 min by metro without any changes) and it's a short walk (approximately 5-10 min) from the Kongens Nytorv metro station. The location is very good as everything is close by, but it's still a quiet location near the water. The room was very clean and tidy. The heating could be adjusted in the room.

The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful.

There is a computer with a printer downstairs and the wireless internet is available in the lobby. I was able to access the internet from my room on my iPad as well.

The breakfast buffet was a minor annoyance as it was pretty basic and there was almost nothing for vegetarians.

“Nice location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

I stayed 2 nights in November on business.

The hotel is located in an old warehouse not far from Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn – a very good location for both business and pleasure, and within walking distance of the metro and buses.

Professional and accommodating staff at the front desk, so check-in and out was fast and efficient.

The rooms are of different size, and my standard room was not large, but quiet and ok for 1 person. It was clean and well maintained. During my stay, only 1 of the 2 lifts was working, which was a bit annoying.

Wired internet was available in the room, but I preferred the wifi in the lobby. A coffee maker would be a great addition to the room.

The buffet breakfast was ok, but nothing more. I missed bacon both mornings, and the bread was not very inspiring. An inprovement of the breakfast selection would be great. The restaurant only serves breakfast, but there are several restaurants within walking distance.
