“very good”

Marriott hotels will always be luxurious and excellent.
The hotel was quite small but still at its best. interior and location scenery
was great since it is beside a water and city views.
Thought it was really convenient but unfortunately it will take you at least
20mins walk or so to the train station and the city center.
but a long walk would still be ok since it is easy to walk around and good view environment,

“Great hotel in a "wonderful" city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

The hotel is clean, quiet, the service and staff are very helpful, and the free breakfast is a huge bonus in a town where everything is very expensive (compared to the Wash DC area). Breakfast buffet included smoked salmon, cold cuts, breads, pastries, scrambled eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cooked mushrooms and tomatoes, cereals with milk, yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, fresh juices and regular or espresso coffee. Plenty to get you going before hitting the town to see all the sites.

My husband and I don't mind walking and this hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the city center area. Cabs are expensive (average $12 to go about 2 miles) so we walked a lot during the day. At night it was cold (7-10 degrees F) so cabs were a splurge, but warm.

The hotel bar is nice, small, with a good view of the river. The restaurant was better than one might expect for a large chain hotel. Prices there were comparable (expensive) to other restaurants in town.

Room Tip: Get a room on the upper floors and a river view.

The hotel is nice, clean, good sized rooms, great view. Marriott almost always delivers. I definitely recommend it and the breakfast downstairs was awesome!

“Lovely hotel; grotesquely overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The rooms in the Marriott are lovely: Large, light, comfortable. The beds are wonderful, the bathrooms decent but not particularly large. Restaurants in the hotel are just fine, and the location is terrific if you have a client visit at Nykredit or SEB or want to visit Tivoli.

My problem with this Marriott is the room rates and, particularly, the extras. You will pay for the view, certainly, but do they really need to charge so much for broadband? And forget about connecting your iPhone or Android phone to the wireless network: There isn't one. Broadband is provided by a single wire in the room. Very 1990s.

I stayed for years at the the Marriott Copenhagen, but finally the "extras" got the best of me and I defected to a number of the Radisson Blu hotels in town: Rates are lower, and the wireless broadband is free!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the water side; the view is gorgeous.

“Again a super stay at this nice business hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

I spent 3 nights at Copenhagen Mariott Hotel in January 2012. I have stayed at this hotel some times before, and it is always a very good experience.
This time I had a newly refurbished room at the 8th floor, to the city side, and the room was quiet even though it was facing the city. The king bed was very comfortable and aircondition almost silent. Perfectly cleaned every day. A very good work-table (glas). Bathroom with tub and shower combined.
There is also a good tea-coffee maker and of course a minibar (expensive - did not use it) in the room.
Breakfast is excellent with lots of choices, hot dishes, a chef cooking omellets, pancakes etc. to your order, a variety of cereals, juices, fruit, cheeses, fantastic bread (ryebread, wheat, toast, bagels, rolls, etc.), pastries - you name it!

There is a very nice bar-area with open fireplace at the ground floor (close to the reception), facing the canal. In the summertime you can sit outside and enjoy a drink there. At the lobby they also have a table with small towels and jogging-trail maps for guest who would like to run outside in the morning.Of course you can also use the well-equipped, large fitness center, which is complimentary to hotel guests.

This is definately the best hotel in the area!

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the water for a better view
