We stayed at the Scandic Hotel in September this year and the hotel was in the midst of large scale renovations. Although I had booked the hotel several months earlier, no mention was made on any website that they were renovating, or I would have avoided it like the plague. The drilling and planing noises rattling through our brains at 3 o'clock in the afternoon were not conductive to sleep. After putting up with this until it stopped, around 7pm, we thought a night's sleep would help our disposition.

It appears they had checked us into a room which was directly below a room they were working on! Begs the question...why put us there!!
I have to say the customer service was pretty surly which we found is not uncommon in Copenhagen. In general they are not that friendly and being Aussies, we're always friendly...especially on holiday:)
Would I stay here again? Not without checking on the renovation status! Good spot though and about a 10-15 minute walk to Stroget, the pedestrian shopping mall, which I love!
Room Tip: The top floors are very nice and the renovated rooms are extremely well designed. Probably one of th...
