Hotel Mayfair is conveniently located by the main train station in Copenhagen, right by the main shopping district, walking distance to the main sightseeing sites. I managed to get from the airport to the hotel reception in about 30 minutes!!
I did splurge (may be an overstatement as it was an additional £20 for me to upgrade from a standard to a deluxe room on an offer on a travel website) and it was well worth it. The room was not as large as expected for a deluxe room but it was beautifully appointed: comfy large bed, stylish wall paper, very clean, warm and quiet. The bathroom was again small but perfectly formed. Of note, the toileteries provided was pretty unimpressive and I was glad I had brought my own haircare products.
Great TV with English and Danish channels and complimentary WiFi.
The hotel does provide a light supper -- small selection of hot dishes (a soup and a small portion of an entree) with lots of salad, cheeseboard and a dessert. Juice and coffee/tea are included. Whilst there isn't a lot of variety, it is a buffet selection so one can fill up on the food quite easily. Alcoholic drinks are charged for and not inexpensive (as expected for a hotel).
Breakfast is a reasonable affair with a combination of continental as well as cooked selection buffet.
I would definitely stay here again but would aim to book early on a travel website to get an offer on a deluxe room.
