Very centrally located,2 minutes'walk from the main train station and with buses nr 6A and 26 stopping just around the corner,( these particular routes take you almost EVERYwhere in central Copenhagen.) TINY rooms, there was not even enough floor space to place an opened suitcase, never mind two, had to balance them on the desk.Equally tiny bathroom!
Narrow but good beds.
A strip club just across the street AND one almost directly below our first floor window provided music all through the night...actually, it wasn't too bad, but it did not stop until 3-4, not even on a weekday night.
Although the hotel is just a few yards away from the busy Vesterbrogade, we really can't complain about any traffic noise (apart from over-zealous garbage-collectors who seemed to think clanging and banging on each and every garbage can was part of the job...)
Breakfast was not at all good.in fact, probably the poorest we have had.It did not exactly help matters that there was only ONE person available to clear the tables, refill trays, collect food tickets etc etc. On day 2 we came down to find there was no bacon left, no eggs, no bread (although it did arrive after a while),no cheese and only two slices of tomatoes left to pose as a "vegetable tray".... so on day 3 we skipped breakfast altogether. Ours was included in the room price but other guests paid 115DKK (approx 13-14 euros/20 dollars) which is plain robbery!
On the plus side:quite large and furnished bakyard. Free internet.Free coffee and tea in the reception room.
Negative:(apart from what's mentioned above): check-out time is 12. On our last morning we wanted to visit up with our Copenhagen-based daughter for a final meal and did not want to take our luggage with us, nor did we like to leave it in an unlocked storage room out of the receptionist's sight, so we asked if we could possibly keep the room until 12.30, by which time we would be back, as the hotel was clearly not fully booked, but this was not possible. The receptionist first said we would then have to pay extra for that half hour but the he changed his mind and said it was "difficult" so we dropped it.This in spite of the fact that the hotel's own information brochure states that if one would like to check out later than noon, one should ask at the reception...
Room Tip: NOT above the strip club, that's for sure! But I would presume that with a room facing the backy...
