“STAY - why go anywhere else?”

I've returned to this Hotel/apartment on many occasions, in all seasons, for business and vacation with the family. I'm always overwhelmed by the spacious rooms and relaxing environment. Other city 'design' hotels have spas, saunas and room service but I've only ever refered to STAY as 'home from home'.
The restaurant, take-away, bakery and general store each serves delicious food (and drink). The gym is extremely well equiped - the spin classes look exhausting.
The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Enjoy a continental style breakfast that includes yoghurt and honey-almonds, rose-hip jam on bread and some pastries.
Front facing rooms have the best views (but can suffer wind noise - Copenhagen is windy).
Rear facing rooms are quieter (but lack the best views).
Internet access is available in all rooms. Wi-fi routers are also available on request.
All minor gripes (there's yet to be a major complaint) have been resolved.

Room Tip: The roof terrace is a must in the summer evenings. There are few things more relaxing than basking h...

“Wonderful Stay Copenhagen”

I have been commuting weekly to Copenhagen staying in this wonderful apartment hotel. The rooms are amazing with views across the Harbour towards the city. It is a 10 minute walk to the very trendy bars, restaurants and cafe's around the old meatpacking district. A bus that stops outside the front door takes you to Tivoli gardens and the city center in about 5 minutes, you couldn't ask for better. The staff are the key for me and are all so helpful and welcoming and for the last year have looked after us like you were family. Highly recommended, Gareth (Arup)

uber euro trendy apartment with all the facilities for a long term stay. Including cheese grater, food processor, micro, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. One of the best serviced apartments Ive stayed in. Plasma TV on a rope, heated granite bathroom floor, many many storage options, ceramic hob, superb gym. Word of caution..dont bring clutter; there is nowhere to display it (hence the myriad storageoptions) even a small ipod dock clock barely fits on the bedside. its meant to be white, white and more white and with floor to ceiling windows you can look out onto the river, but others can also look in! value for money in expensive copenhagen and 10mins to the airport and same to large shopping mall via the footbridge.

“Overall good, but needs a bit more polish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

This hotel/apartment is located in what appears to be an up and coming neighbourhood. It is a stone's throw from the river and most of the surrounding area is recently-built residential housing, but venture in the opposite direction and there is a bus depot and some industrial looking areas. The city centre is a 25-30 minute walk away and about 10-15 minutes by the one bus that serves the area (bus stop just outside the hotel; get a Klippekorte for multiple trips). The waterbus doesn't seem to go as far as the hotel any more.

The reception staff were polite and helpful, although we did find the slightly open plan arrangement a bit perplexing. Reception is open from morning till 11pm. Check-in isn't allowed until 3pm, but we were able to leave our bags in the lounge area (didn't feel very secure, but took our valuables with us anyway). The lounge area was pleasant enough and you can enjoy a complimentary drink there with a voucher given to you at the time of check-in.

The room was essentially a bright and roomy studio apartment with a clever layout that means the kitchen facilities can't be seen from the bed and vice versa. It was clean on arrival and was also cleaned day 2 of our 3 day stay. There was a large TV and plenty of seating for lounging around. No complaints about the bed or bedding. However, there were a few niggles that seemed to irritate us disproportionately. For a fairly new build, some of the finish was a bit disappointing: one of the light switches was a bit loose, not dangerously so, but you had to push hard to turn off the lights; one light could not be turned off and had to be dimmed to a minimum at night; the sliding door to the bathroom had lost the metal cap that fitted into the depression that you put your fingers into to slide it; the shower, in theory, could alternate between the overhead shower and a rail-mounted showerhead that could be also be hand held, but the lever to switch between the two was broken. There was no shower curtain, so water tended to splash on to the floor behind and pooled in a little puddle just inside the bathroom door (so wet feet if you forgot about it). I am not that bothered about toiletries when travelling, but my wife thought they weren't the best quality. You get a complimentary tea/coffee, but there was only one tea bag and one hot chocolate, neither of which were replenished after the first day.

Below the hotel, in the same building, is an organic supermarket, a bakery and some sort of take-away. There weren't many other shops within close walking distance, so not much choice. Breakfast is available for Kr. 95, but we chose to make our own breakfast.

In the past we have got some interesting hotel accommodation living a bit further from the city centre. Although bright and spacious, we didn't really fall in love with the place.

Room Tip: View of river would have been nicer.

“Great idea but with a little effort could be amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

The place is minimalistic and practical, my room size was big, comfortable and my view overlooked the Copenhagen horizon, wonderful art each morning and evening. Good to have a gym too when you're staying for a while.

I stayed for 3 weeks, had a couple of problems but the staff really didn't want to help, each time I had to ask 3-4 times to resolve the issue, tiring to say the least. Cleaning was ad-hoc and when the rooms are cleaned it wasn't to a good standard.

Location wise, it's nearer the airport than the town centre but only 10 mins in a taxi

Room Tip: The higher the better, less noise and better views
