Good points:
- not far from Legoland (20 mins by car)
- village setting
- rooms with direct access to small terraces leading onto the gardens
- clean and reasonably comfortable family accommodation
Bad points:
- Booked a room for 3 people (one couple, one teenager). The bed for the teenager was a sofabed and was tiny (single size bed, very short). Teenager ended up sleeping on floor!
- Had agreed a late check in and was told room key would be available in an envelope at reception. Arrived to find another family standing outside reception (the door was locked) - they had also agreed to pick up their key late. No answer at telephone numbers given on the door to reception. Had to find another telephone number then wait for someone to come out and let us in to get the keys (30 minute wait in the rain!).
- Even though there were 3 of us staying at the Kro, only 2 had breakfast. We told the restaurant manager this when we arrived for breakfast. Had breakfast and then picked up one tiny pack of jam to take back to the room for the 3rd person to have. The manager stopped us and told us to put it back as no-one was allowed to take any extra food from the restaurant! This despite the fact that we had paid for breakfast for 3 people and only 2 people had actually had breakfast! (And I speak Danish so this was no communication misunderstanding.)
The terrible customer service was so offputting that I would not stay at this Kro again.
