“I love Legoland village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

I am very happy over the choice. I think I would enjoy this more compared to the expensive option inside Legoland itslef. This one is cozy, down to earth, clean and big rooms and common facilities. The buffet dinner we had was good, selection quite varied. the breakfast is simpler but still lots of selection. I felt safe here because of the presence of many families. The disadvantage was that it could be noisy early morning. The lego theme inside the rooms is appreciated.

Definitely a family hotel I would recommend when going to Legoland Billund.

“Convenient lower (but not low) cost option for Legoland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

I stayed here with my family in April as part of a group event. The location is excellent. Its a 5 minute walk to Legoland park entrance and there are shopping and leisure facilities adjacent and on-site including a water park. Parking is free for guests but don't forget to get a pass at reception.

The accommodation is hostel-like but rooms are private and have own bathrooms etc. Bedding is supplied at extra cost and you return the bedding on check-out. Thus the linen, while spotless, requires a little bit of work on arrival to sort out. This might be a bit of hassle if arriving late with young children especially as the kids were in bunk beds.

There is no cleaning service. Every guest keeps their own room clean so a broom and dustpan would have been helpful.

Breakfast was good and was reasonably priced compared to what one might pay elsewhere.

For groups, there is a communal kitchen and meeting rooms available which came in handy for Lego related socialising.

Hotels in Billund are usually very expensive. The inexpensive Zleep hotel at the airport is within walking distance but I wouldn't fancy the walk in inclement weather. Legoland Village offers a much lower cost alternative if its a bed you are after near Legoland without slumming it.

Would stay here again.

“Really nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

Stayed at Legoland Village in June 2010 and really liked it. We took a larger house to accommodate our family of six. The rooms looked new. The kitchen included all possible amenities - so we could cook ourselves. There was a good TV, two bathrooms and the master bathroom included a jacuzzi. There was no air conditioning but we did not mind because we could keep the windows open all night. It was really quiet outside and there were no mosquitos. I was really amazed that windows could be kept open at night. This was the first time we stayed at a rented house with family during a holiday and I was a bit skeptical before but without reason. Legoland Village is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Great value, too.

“Almost a hotel...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2008

We(two exhausted parents+3 kids) just came home from staying at The Legoland Village for two nights and we were pleased with our stay there. The Duplo theme of the buildings and rooms are nice and appreciated by the kids. The rooms were rather spacious and very clean and nicely decorated. You dont need to bring your own bedlinen and towels if you buy one of their special packages, then it is included. The staff were friendly and helpful, we have a daughter who is glutenintolerant so it is important for us to know whats in her food and they gladly helped.

The breakfast were ok but not more, it was just a little too basic for my taste but the kids liked it .

The Village offers good value; we payed about 3400DK for two nights with breakfast, tickets to Legoland and one dinnerbuffet ( which the kids liked but the parents not so much). But if you want service and luxury you should stay somewhere else.

“Great stay for a five year old; not so much for his parents”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2008

I should first state that I am not much of a hostel person but there was no availability at any decent hotel close to the Billund Legoland property so we did not have much choice.

Legoland Village is a family hostel, meaning that you get zero amenities, so take that into account when you book your room.

The property is cute with lots of climbing structures for the under 6 set. The room has lego in it (although my son was disappointed that it was just duplo). The room was not small but certainly not large given that there is ample space to have larger rooms. It was reasonably clean but not spotless.

Our biggest issue with the place was breakfast, which was incredibly crowded and poorly designed in terms of flow. We were also upset about the amount of expired product (milk, etc ) they attempted to serve us. There is really no other place to eat nearby so that was not an option.

It's a quick walk to Legoland so you can't beat the convenience. If you can afford more and it is available the Hotel Legoland looked a lot nicer.
