Here is a share of all the little annoying things about my stay at this hotel which made it an under average experience:
- The hotel door hole-card-lock was very tired, it took me a couple of minutes to get the door open every time. Very annoying.
- At the balcony door there was a sign telling me to always keep the door free, as this was an emergency exit to the entire floor ! What? -that can't be legal, what if my room door was locked, would everyone burn to death then.
- In the bathroom there was no slope to make sure the water in the shower kept inside the shower area. The result was that I found all the clothes which I had been dumb enough to place on the floor, soaked when I came out.
- The sheet did'nt cover the entire matress, not a big issue, but why?.
- The 14 inch TV had a will of its own, when ever I tried to change a channel up or down it jumped to some random channel. There was a lot of snow on the picture as well.
- Light switches, where the h... are the switches???, I don't want to spend minutes in the dark seaching for swithes on each and every lamp, there should be one easy accesible on/off button for all the lights, one by hotel door and one by the bedside.
- The elevator had a will of its own as well, and it sounded like it could drop at any time. I had a few laughs about it though along with some other hotel guests, so I guess it was'nt that bad.
- No information in the room what so ever about the hotel, the city or any nearby "attractions", I had to log on to the increadibly slow internet in the room to find a map of the city and what restaurents where nearby.
On the plus side however was an incredibly nice staff, a great view over the city, and easy parking available. If you just want a place to sleep, and you are not as easily annoyed as I am, this is probably an ok hotel, however I will try another hotel next time I am in Aalborg.
- Best Western Aalbourg
- Hotel Hvide Hus Aalborg
- Aalbourg Best Western
