I took my husband away for his 50th birthday and, knowing the area quite well, decided to try this hotel. The hotel's website looked promising so I paid up front for a weekend package. We had a superior room at the back of the hotel, which was quiet, with the bedroom upstairs. There was only hanging room for clothes, no drawers or shelves. We had internet access, wired, free for an hour of our stay, and did not wish to pay the 69kr a day fee; however, the arangement of the cables was rather gash. We quickly realised that the hotel was set up mainly for conferences and groups, not for couples wanting a quiet weekend away. The corridors reminded me of a posh prison (see photos). The very large dining room lacked atmosphere, the lighting was too bright and the effect of the candles was therefore lost. The food was actually very good considering the numbers of people eating; service was generally good, but varied from a wine waiter who knew his stuff to a bored plate collector. The wine was expensive, but, this is Denmark!
The swimming pool was very good, I did not try the other facilities. The hotel is perfectly placed in Rebild for walking, mountain biking and, in a good winter, skiing. I would recommend it for groups, but we will not go again as a couple.
