Spent one night here during a drive through Denmark.
The hotel is stuck in the 80s.
Rooms were OK but nothing special. There was a terrace, but it wasn't much of use really. The rest of the hotel seems quite large. I suppose this might be a good place for companies with employee and conference stays. Not so much for tourists except if you are interrested in the nature in the area (which is said to be special - though we didn't check it out. We chose to drive into Aalborg istead because for us it was nothing in the nearby area or in the hotel building.
The parking space was full of cars during our one day but we saw almost no guests during our stay. The few guests we saw was old pensioners. The bar was completely empty in the evening (guess everybody went to sleep at 8pm).
The swimming pool is huge, but not very cosy. It's not a modern spa/swimming pool but feels more like a swimming hall in a school or public building. Sauna didn't work.
This is not a place for a weekend getaway except if you are a pensioner who likes it very quiet and simply to walk around in the surrounding nature. We think they have some museums and cultural attractions around the area, but really nothing for us. Maybe it's good for business meeting and such if they have good conference facilities. Definately not for younger people (some might find that excellent of course).
We were very bored and that the hotel seemed to die out completely after dinner time. While taking one drink in the bar a Swedish couple in their 50s with a teenaged son sat next in the bar. We could understand what they said and they were also quitesurprised about how quiet the hotel was at the evening. They were dressed up and looking forward a nice evening. We guessed they were on a weekend getaway. How wrong they were. This place is for age 65 or 70+.
When it comes to review it will simply be about the condition of the hotel and not taking in consideration everything else.
